Welcome to Rooms to Breathe

Where we create goregous, functional spaces with integrity and heart.

Meet Megan

Owner, Boy-Mom, Enneagram 2, Speech Language Pathologist, dirty martini aficionado, extroverted introvert, and indoor plant serial killer.

Hi there! It’s so nice to meet you!

1.) Let’s start with a little slice of hope - I have been right where you are. I have been COMPLETELY overwhelmed in my home, and as a result, in my life. I know how it feels to have no idea where to begin and to not have the energy to begin even if you did know where to start.

2.) Clutter = Stress

3.) Life is too short to spend all your downtime trying to “get back on top of” your home.

4.) I can help. I would love to be your new organizing bestie. Together we can simplify your home so you can have more space to build a life you love. A life full of peace and freedom….with a side of beautiful pantry.

The first step in crafting a life you want is getting rid of everything you don’t .

Why Organizing?

Both my career as a medical Speech Language Pathologist and my favorite thing in the world (being a Mom) led me to and prepared me for my current role at Rooms to Breathe.

I spent 10 years as a home health Speech Language Pathologist where the focus is on helping adults that have suffered a neurological or cognitive injury remain in their homes, safely, as long as possible. I saw first hand how critical streamlined, organized living spaces are to functioning well and remaining independent as we age.

While working full time as an SLP I also became a mother to two sweet little chaos machines and my daily mental load EXPLODED. Suddenly there was so much plan, remember, anticipate, and schedule. As the tasks I was carrying in my head increased I found myself leaning hard into some of the strategies I was using in my patient’s homes- but for myself. Strategies like: decluttering, categorizing/grouping, containing, labeling, prioritizing frequently used items, and creating routines and systems reduced my daily decision making and afforded me the time and space to actually enjoy parenting my young children. Learning how to use these skills within my home was literally life changing for me. I started Rooms to Breathe to help other women and families find the same balance in their lives.

We want to help busy moms like you declutter, simplify, organize, and enjoy your home. In the whirlwind of motherhood, we want to give you the most precious gift of all: time.
